Today we are going to talk about a flowering plant that is very rich in beta carotene, which when consumed in the body converts into Vitamin A. It is the dandelion. This is a healthy plant that is also filled with Vitamin C, potassium, fiber, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and zinc. It can also be considered as a good way to get your B vitamins from, as well as some trace minerals, organic sodium, and even some Vitamin D too. Also, the dandelion is known to contain some protein, even more than the spinach contains. This is a plant that has been consumed for thousands of years as a food, as well for its medicinal properties such as dealing with anemia, skin issues, scurvy, depression and blood issues.
