The idea of a relation between a natural cure for a disease that might be in a healthy food is quite normal and frequent. It is astonishing how cheap and how easy it might be to get. For as long as it can be remembered, people traditionally believe that the more expensive a medicine or a solution can be bought or used for, the faster and better it will work.
However, this is not always true, as we hope for a miracle cure, while that is part of the pharmaceutical industry way of making profit. Thus, sometimes you don’t need expensive medicine, or the better equivalent is to simply consume some simple healthy food rich in nutrients and fight the disease that way.
Given our economic status, we’d like to try something before having the issue of spending thousands. That’s why we would recommend one cure, abundant with vitamin C, known and used all around the world – cabbage and its juice.
Vitamins like B6, K, antioxidants and minerals, as well as dietary fiber and folate can all be found in the cabbage. Not only that, but it has anti-disease and antiseptic effects, thanks to the compounds such as glucosinolates and sulforaphane that help detoxify your body and stimulate the enzymes in your digestive system.
Protecting cells from cancer is one of the things the sulfophane compound is tasked with. Many studies around the world agree that if there is a list for vegetables that might potentially fight off cancer on the colon, then cabbage will be one of the highest contenders.
Diseases like: breast, ovary, liver or lungs cancer, as well as hangovers, arthritis, inflammations, stomach ulcers, anemia, chronic coughing can all be eased if not cured with the help of cabbage.
Not only that, but cabbage is also very useful for boosting ones metabolism, easing the problems with constipation, losing weight and prevents the sugar from turning into fat in your body.
Recipe for the Cabbage Juice
Having mentioned the amazing benefits of cabbage, take a loot at the ingredients for the cabbage juice:
- One middle-sized cabbage
- Warm water
- A little bit of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
- A juicer
- Knife
Instructions:
You should start by soaking the cabbage in warm water, and some apple cider vinegar should be poured onto it. Cut off the stem with a knife and cut the cabbage in half.
The halves should fit in the juicer, if not cut accordingly. Blend half of the cabbage until you get a liquid, aka juice. You can either use the other half or save it for later.
Depending on your needs, there is no limit of daily intake of cabbage juice. However, be cautious as any excess juice might make you nauseous, bloated or may form as an intestinal gas. Basically, one juice from a whole cabbage a day is enough. The best way is to drink the first half in the morning and the second half in the evening, if you’d like to avoid any unnecessary effects like the ones previously mentioned.
